Induction Iron’s Stainless steel 409 Modified melt stock is available as a 1/2 inch thick punching. Our 409 Modified is thoroughly washed and dried resulting in material that is free of any oil and contamination resulting in less smoke when melting and reduced inclusions and porosity in the resulting castings. Our 409 modified is a great source of chrome units with a small percentage of nickel as well as an ultra low carbon. All of our stainless melt stock is guaranteed to meet industry standards and our published specifications.
