Induction Iron's washed 1010 punchings are an excellent source of iron units for the production of plain and low carbon alloy steels, iron, and stainless steels. Our 1010 punchings have a high bulk density resulting in less furnace charges and increased melt times. All of our 1010 punchings are washed and dried resulting in material that is free of any oil and contamination resulting in less smoke when melting and reduced inclusions and porosity in the resulting castings. The chemistry of our 1010 punchings is guaranteed to be within our published specifications.
