Induction Iron’s 1008 Carbon Steel Punching’s is a great source of iron units for production of plain and low carbon alloy steels, and some stainless steels. Our 1008DP is thoroughly washed and dried resulting in material that is free of any oil and contamination resulting in less smoke when melting and reduced inclusions and porosity in the resulting castings. Our 1008 punching reduces the amount of times material needs to be added to the furnace.
